This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how StackERP Solutions Private Limited ("StackERP," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit or interact with our website https://www.stackerpsolutions.com (the "Website") and the online modules, portals, and applications comprising our School ERP SaaS platform (collectively, the "Platform").
This Policy is intended to be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. It applies to all visitors, registered users, school administrators, teachers, students, parents, and other individuals who access the Website or the Platform (collectively, "Users", "you"). By continuing to browse or use the Website or the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy, and, where required by applicable law, you consent to the use of cookies as described herein.
This Policy has been prepared in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (including the rules framed thereunder) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), being the applicable data protection and information technology legislation in India as on the Effective Date.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, smartphone, tablet, or other device when you visit a website or use a web-based application. Cookies are widely used to make websites and online platforms function efficiently, to remember user actions and preferences over a period of time, and to provide information to the operators of the website or platform.
In addition to cookies, this Policy also covers similar tracking technologies such as web beacons, pixel tags, local storage objects, and software development kit (SDK) identifiers used within our Android application (and, where applicable in the future, our iOS application), to the extent such technologies perform a comparable function to cookies.
StackERP uses cookies for the following legitimate business and operational purposes:
StackERP does not use cookies to intentionally collect unnecessary personal information. Cookies are deployed strictly for the purposes described in this Policy and in a manner proportionate to those purposes.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the Website and the Platform. They enable core functionalities such as user authentication, session management, load balancing, and access to secure areas of the Platform (including the Admin Panel, Teacher Panel, Student Portal, and Parent Portal). Essential cookies cannot be switched off through our cookie preference tools, as the Platform cannot function properly without them.
Performance cookies collect information about how Users interact with the Website and Platform, such as pages visited, time spent, and error messages encountered. This information is used in aggregate to improve the speed, responsiveness, and overall performance of the Platform, including modules such as Attendance, Homework, and Library Management.
Functional cookies allow the Website and Platform to remember choices made by Users (such as language, region, or dashboard layout preferences) in order to provide a more personalised and convenient experience across the Admission Module, Transport Management, Hostel Management, and other modules.
Analytics cookies help StackERP understand how Users navigate and use the Platform, which features are most utilised, and where improvements may be required. Insights derived from analytics cookies are used strictly for internal product development, quality assurance, and service improvement purposes.
Security cookies are used to authenticate Users, prevent fraudulent use of login credentials, detect anomalous access patterns, and protect the Platform and User data from unauthorised access, in line with our obligations under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules relating to reasonable security practices.
Certain features of the Website and the Platform are supported by trusted third-party service providers who may place their own cookies on your device. These third parties may include payment gateway providers, analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, communication service providers (SMS, Email, and WhatsApp Business API partners), and Google-provided services embedded within the Platform.
Such third parties operate independently of StackERP and are responsible for their own cookies in accordance with their respective privacy and cookie policies. StackERP does not control the content or operation of these third-party cookies and encourages Users to review the relevant third party's policy for further information.
Where Users or schools make payments through the Platform (for example, fee collection or subscription payments), our integrated Payment Gateway partners may place cookies to facilitate secure transaction processing, prevent payment fraud, verify transaction authenticity, and comply with applicable Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines and card network security requirements. StackERP does not store complete card or payment credential data on its own servers; such information is processed directly by the relevant payment gateway partner in accordance with their own security standards and cookie practices.
Where the Website or Platform makes use of Google-provided services (such as Google Maps for Transport Management, Google Analytics for usage analysis, Google Fonts, reCAPTCHA for security verification, or Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android app notifications), Google may place its own cookies or similar identifiers on your device in accordance with Google's own privacy and cookie practices. StackERP has no control over cookies placed directly by Google and recommends that Users refer to Google's published privacy documentation for further information regarding such cookies.
StackERP may engage reputable analytics service providers to help evaluate Website and Platform performance, identify technical issues, and improve features such as the Student Portal, Teacher Panel, and AI-based features. Analytics cookies collect information in aggregated or pseudonymised form and are used solely to support product improvement and are not used to build individually identifying advertising profiles of students or minors.
The Platform is hosted on the infrastructure of reputable cloud hosting providers, which may place limited technical cookies necessary for load balancing, content delivery, session routing, and infrastructure-level security. These cookies are technical in nature and are essential to ensuring the availability and reliability of the Platform, including Cloud Hosting and any Future Digital Services offered by StackERP.
Users have the ability to control and manage cookies in a number of ways, including:
Most web browsers allow Users to manage cookie preferences through their settings menu. Users may generally: (a) view cookies stored on their device; (b) delete existing cookies individually or in bulk; (c) block cookies from specific or all websites; and (d) set preferences to be notified before a cookie is placed. As browser interfaces change periodically, Users are advised to consult the "Help" section of their specific browser (such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari) for precise instructions applicable to their browser version.
Disabling or blocking cookies, particularly Essential Cookies, may affect certain features and functionalities of the Platform. This may include, without limitation, an inability to remain logged into secure areas such as the Admin Panel, Teacher Panel, Student Portal, or Parent Portal, loss of saved preferences, disruption to payment processing, and reduced functionality of modules such as Attendance, Homework, and Admission Module. StackERP shall not be liable for any degradation in Platform functionality resulting from a User's decision to disable or restrict cookies.
Essential cookies are necessary for the proper operation of the Platform. Some third-party services integrated with the Platform may independently use cookies according to their own policies, over which StackERP does not exercise control.
Depending on the type of cookie, the following categories of information may be collected:
StackERP does not use cookies to intentionally collect sensitive personal data of students, parents, or staff beyond what is strictly necessary for the operation, security, and improvement of the Platform. Any personal data collected in connection with cookies is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the applicable requirements of the DPDP Act.
StackERP implements reasonable security practices and procedures, in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules framed thereunder, to protect information collected through cookies from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include, among others, encrypted transmission of session data, restricted internal access controls, secure cloud hosting infrastructure, and periodic security reviews. While StackERP takes reasonable steps to safeguard such information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
StackERP may revise or update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legal or regulatory requirements, or our business practices, including the introduction of Future iOS Apps or Future Digital Services. Any material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy. Users are encouraged to review this Policy periodically. Continued use of the Website or Platform following any such update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
